HARTEST ART GROUP

We are a small, friendly and enthusiastic group of artists of mixed ability. We meet at the Boxted and Hartest Institute at 9.30 on Tuesday mornings for three hours. Whilst some members choose to work on their own projects, we have a professional tutor who demonstrates each week for about an hour, and then provides one-on-one guidance for the remainder of the time. The demonstrations cover a wide variety of subjects, using various mediums, and have proven to be informative, inspiring and often entertaining with much interaction! We also have occasional demonstrations by professional artists.

There is also a significant social element to the club, with the opportunity to sketch and paint outside in good weather at locations in mid-Suffolk, such as the Abbey Gardens in BSE and Pin Mill on the river Orwell. Additionally we get together at a local hostelry for Christmas lunch each year.

The year is split into three terms and costs between £50-£55 per term depending on the number of members. You can be sure of a warm welcome and as much encouragement as you wish and the chance to share ideas with like minded people. Please contact Chris Cox 01787281314 and John Gill 01284831009 for more information.
