The Hartest Village Fete 2015 Bank Holiday Monday 31st August
The true spirit of the Hartest folk certainly SHINED brightly through the rain clouds on what was another wet (but wonderful) fete day! The fete committee wish it was possible to individually thank all the helpers and visitors alike for braving the elements to make fete day successful once again.
Special thanks to those who gave up their time prior to the fete making and putting up signs and delivering flyers and to those that came on the eve of fete day to loan and erect gazebos and hang bunting from the trees!
It was wonderful to welcome back Terry Waite CBE this year who, much to our excitement returned to open the Hartest fete and enormous thanks of course to the fabulous stallholders on the day (many of whom willingly run the same stall year after year) for taking responsibility to organise, set up, man and then clear away afterwards when we know you really couldn’t wait to get back home in the warm and dry!
Mighty BIG thanks to all fete visitors for coming along in your wellies to spend your money; we hope you enjoyed the Morris Men, the Pet Show and the Penalty Shoot Out, the teas and cakes and the delicious BBQ. Thank you for playing games in the rain and for buying goodies from the amazing assortment of stalls and for browsing the classic cars and motorcycles from under your brollies!!
Our Church and our Primary School are truly grateful to you all and were overwhelmed at the amount of donations received for the Bottle Tombola, the Cake Stall, the Raffle and the AMAZINGLY GENEROUS Silent Auction Offerings this year.
Thanks to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU who, in whatever way, donated to our cause; a successful Fete Day would not be possible without your support. Look forward to seeing you again next year!
