Glemsford surgery invites feedback on future plans

Glemsford surgery invites feedback on future plans to provide a high standard of healthcare for a growing community

The GP partners at Glemsford Surgery have to make a number of decisions about developing and modernising the way the practice provides care for a growing local community, whilst maintaining high standards of healthcare, now and in the future.

With patient numbers increasing and 500 additional houses planned in Glemsford by 2020, the benefits of consolidating all resources onto the Glemsford site to provide an improved range of services for all our patients is under consideration.

Possible permanent closure of the Hartest Branch Surgery Over recent months, we have had to review how we use the resources we have as effectively as possible and ensure that our GPs and clinical staff use their time in the most beneficial way for all of our patient population. This has meant that the services offered at
the Hartest Branch Surgery have significantly reduced and a decision must now be made as to whether any services within the branch surgery can be sustained.

Have your say:

Public engagement: 1st May – 11th June 2018

To help support the decision making process, we would like to engage with our patients and the local community to hear your views, concerns and ideas regarding future services at the Glemsford Surgery and the possible closure of the Hartest Branch Surgery.

  • Join us at one of our Public Engagement Events in May (see details below)
  • Check the surgery website (www.glemsfordsurgery.co.uk) and waiting room for information and updates.
Complete a “Comments & Suggestions” card. Cards, pens and a posting box are available at both the engagement events above and in the practice waiting room.
An online “Comments & Suggestions” form is available on the practice website (Bottom left of Contact Details page)
