Sue Parlby returns by popular request to lead us in another morning of lovely singing in Hartest on Saturday 19^th May. This will be a fun, relaxed morning

for anyone who enjoys singing. Don’t worry if you can’t read music as we shall learn the songs by ear, and Sue will teach us rounds and 3-4 part harmonies.

The cost is £7 for adults, half price for under 18’s, and this includes light refreshments.

Diamond Jubilee Celebrations 4/5^th June

MONDAY 4^th JUNE Come and enjoy the lighting of the Jubilee Beacon on the Mausoleum site at Chadacre Park. We leave the Crown at 10pm to walk to the site for the lighting of the fire at 10.30pm, which is registered as part of the National chain of Beacons. There is a footpath from Lawshall Road but no access for cars.

MIDSUMMER CONCERT IN HARTEST CHURCH

MIDSUMMER CONCERT on SATURDAY June 23rd in HARTEST CHURCH

Following a sell-out performance two years ago,Churchgate Sinfonia are returning to the village on Saturday June 23rd to give another concert of wonderful popular string music.

The concert will start at 6.30. By popular demand, cream teas will once again be sold on the Green prior to the concert, from about 4pm onwards.

Chilled rose wine will be served during the interval.

Tickets will be £15 (to include the interval wine) and will be available after Easter from Gill Leeming (830178) or gill@hartest.fsnet.co.uk.

All monies raised will go towards the Friends of Hartest Church Fabric Fund.

Hartest with Boxted Church Fete

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY

27th August 2012 - Hartest with Boxted Church Fete

Planning has already started for 2012 church fete! It promises to be another wonderful day of traditional family entertainment. Do please start collecting bric-a-brac, books and cd’s. (We can store it for you) When you are dividing plants in the garden please remember the plant stall - ‘pot one - plant one’! A new stall this year will be ‘Costume jewellery and accessories’, so dig out those necklaces, bracelets, earings and handbags that you will never wear again and put them on one side for the fete.

However, in order for the day to be a success we do need volunteers to run stalls, pour teas, make cakes, put up bunting, distribute posters etc, etc. If you would like to be involved in any way or have a good idea you would like to share please call either Sarah Howell 01284 830 358 or Anna Markwell 01284 830 649. We would love to hear from you.
